Volunteer Opportunities Fair

Volunteer Opportunities Fair October 2nd 2018!

The Volunteer Opportunities Fair (previously Civic Engagement Fair) and Service-Learning Symposium are events that encourage our campus to become active contributors to our community!  Visit our annual fair at Thomas Jefferson residential hall from 3-5:30pm!  Local nonprofit organizations and service-learning community partners, as well as service-oriented student organizations will host booths at the fair to share about what they do and how you can get involved!

Students, are you:

  • Interested in all of the different ways to become active on campus and with the surrounding community?
  • Interested in joining a student organization whose main focus is to provide service opportunities to S&T students?
  • Interested in raising awareness of your organization’s philanthropy to the campus community?

The Department of Student Life strives to:

  • Create a conduit for students, staff, faculty, organizations and community partners to build connections and promote service.
  • Increase awareness of service opportunities that will broaden the perspective of students at S&T and encourage students to reach out to groups that are different from them.
  • Encourage students to both advocate for and participate in service as active citizens in the Rolla community.
  • Provide community partners and service organizations an opportunity to raise awareness of current social justice issues that face the surrounding area and create opportunities for students at S&T to be involved as active change agents.
